Project "CNC networks - Train to Europe"

Description


           

Participants in Europe's largest school project developing a European network for the use of CNC machines control / CNC /.
The project started in October 2007 as part of a European program COMENIUS "Lifelong Learning" (Comenius - School Partnerships) and lasts two years. The working language of the project is English.
Participants set up the project a product named "Train for EUROPE" - "Train for Europe". The train is made of students from the profession of Mechanical technician in European schools participating in the project wagons hauled by three locomotives and running on rails. Different parts of the locomotive is the result of joint planning and production-based allocation tasks by mutual agreement between schools.
Each school - partner produces a different part of the locomotive in a team with another European school. Different parts of the locomotives are assembled at the last meeting. Wagons have their own design and are produced by each school participant. They must possess the unique characteristics of each country. Participants made at least two cars - one for presentation at the European Parliament in Brussels and one for the school itself, where possible participants in a project to produce copies of your own car as a gift to several or all countries. At the end of each country to design a car in the "Train for EUROPE".
Project participants agreed views on the costs and opportunities for the production of train drawings are held four meetings during the two years:

  • 2007: Coordination and division of labor in the construction of the train between schools.
  • 2008: Assessment and coordination of all elements of the drawings.
  • 2008: Planning and coordination of production.
  • 2009: Final assembly and presentation of our project "Train for EUROPE".
